We continue to offer day walks to get together with like minded women and spend time in the outdoors. These are part of our Get Goat Fit events where you walk with a trained guide and can test out your pace, your level and find your inner goat. This time to the Chiltern Hills easily accessible from Tring Train Station. Photos by Jude Mac.

Time of walk approx : 5 hrs with a stop for your picnic lunch.
Please bring a packed lunch or if you would like pick up lunch along the way, there is a cafe in Ashridge Estate, and some places in Aldbury (Poppies Cafe, The Greyhound Inn, The Church Farm Cafe, and The Trooper). There are a couple of opportunities to use the facilities (toilet) along this walk, in Ashridge Estate, and in Aldbury.
Distance: 13.6km (8.5 miles)
Total elevation: 300m
Starting point: Tring Train Station at 10am
This walk is accessible by public transport (train to Tring Station) and by car (use the car park at Tring Station).
End point: Tring Train Station at approx 4pm.
Price: £35 for your guided day walk.
DETAILS
Expect some extraordinary views of the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and glimpses of some of the wildlife that calls this part of England home. The walk will cross a mixture of terrain, from forest to open grassy hills, along agricultural fields, through towns, and past historical features. Some key features of this walk include an extraordinary view from Ivinghoe Beacon Hill, and passing by the Bridgewater Monument within the Ashridge National Trust estate. There will be opportunities to take breaks along the route, and stop to admire the views, while having a snack to boost energy levels.
