Next Epping Forest Day walk Friday May 16th
We continue to offer day walks to get together with like minded women and spend time in the outdoors. These are part of our Get Goat Fit events where you walk with a trained guide and can test out your pace, your level and find your inner goat. This time to Epping Forest a lovely walk on the edge of London. Photos by Jude Mac.
SUMMARY
Date: Saturday April 12th

Time of walk approx : 3 to 4 hrs with a stop for your picnic lunch.
Please bring a packed lunch or if you wish to purchase some food during the walk, there will be plenty of opportunity to, either at the start (Epping), middle (Oyster Shack & Seafood Bar by Epping Forest Field Centre), or end (Loughton) of the walk.
Distance: 10.8km (6.7 miles)
Total elevation: 118m
Starting point: Epping Forest Train Station at 10am
End point: Loughton Train Station approx 4pm
Price: £35 for your guided day walk.
DETAILS
Walking through residential areas (Epping and Loughton), but mostly through Epping Forest, passing ancient monuments such as forts, stone age camps, and remnants of the last ice age.
There will be plenty of opportunities to spot the various wildlife that call this forest home: from the Speckled Wood Butterfly, to the Stag Beetle. The route does not have any steep inclines or declines, and there are public toilets accessible at specific points along the route (Epping Tube station, Epping Forest Field Centre, and Loughton Tube station). There will be plenty of opportunities to take breaks throughout the walk, to have a snack, rehydrate, and soak in the beauty of the forest landscape.
