For 2019, we are introducing a new destination for gentle walking on the beautiful Balearic Island of Mallorca. The northern Sierra Tramuntana mountains, in North West Mallorca, provide the backdrop for this gentle walking holiday based in the laid-back resort of Port de Pollenca. The town, once a fishing port, is situated on the spectacular sheltered Alcudia Bay and offers beautiful sandy beaches, pine and palm lined pedestrian walkways and plenty of cafes and restaurants to spend time in, soaking up the relaxed atmosphere and sampling local foods and wines.
Our walks will take us to lovely beaches with coastal views and wetland nature reserves. We will take a tour of the nearby medieval town of Pollenca, visit its weekly market and walk in the gentle Vall de Colonya. We will also visit the famous monastery at LLuc and walk along the stone wall route GR221.
We will be staying at the recently refurbished Aparthotel Flora situated a short walk from the town centre along the Pine Walk. Our apartments are spacious and a buffet breakfast is included each morning.
Price includes: 7 nights bed and breakfast accommodation in ensuite rooms (single rooms available if you book early – £20 per night); transport to walks; airport transfer at certain times.
Not included: Flight to Palma de Mallorca, lunch and dinner
