Away from the crowds, this holiday has exclusive use of High Trenhouse near tranquil Malham Tarn in the Yorkshire Dales – a beautifully converted farm and barn on the edge of the moors above Malham Cove and Gordale Scar. The Pennine Way passes close by on its way from Malham Cove over Fountains Fell towards Pen-y-Ghent, and across the moors are interesting paths to the pretty village of Arncliffe and the lively market town of Settle with its tearooms and small, independent shops. The intermediate group are likely to take in Pen-y-Ghent, one of the renowned Yorkshire Three Peaks. Both groups will visit the stunning Malham Cove where we hope to spot the resident peregrine falcons.
High Trenhouse offers a large number of single rooms – a boon for our groups – and most have ensuite facilities. We will have sole use of the accommodation throughout our stay. There are comfortable spaces for relaxing or making our own fun and there’s even a sauna – so bring your swimsuit! The food is prepared with care and is both delicious and plentiful. All can be washed down with a great choice of quality wines and beers from the honesty bar.
A choice of Gentle and Intermediate walks each day will allow you to move between the grades to take it easy or stretch according to how you feel. We will arrange an inexpensive shared lift from Settle station at 4pm.
Price includes: 4 nights full board accommodation; transport to walks as required. Single rooms available if you book early from £12.50pn ensuite and £10 non-ensuite)
