Join us on the beautiful Greek island of Lesvos for a varied programme of walks from our base in Skala Eressos, a popular coastal town surrounded by a stunning ampitheatre of volcanic rock and hills. We will explore the nearby petrified forest, ancient chapels, monasteries, waterfalls and beaches during the week. On some days we will walk direct from the hotel and on others we will use a private minibus to enable us to explore further afield.
April is the perfect time to visit Lesvos – temperatures should be ideal for walking and it is a fantastic time to observe the rich birdlife with many migratory species passing through.
There will also be plenty of time to relax and enjoy the beach and waterfront tavernas at Skala Eressos. Birthplace of 7th Century BC poet, Sappho, Lesvos is a popular destination for women travellers from around the world.
There will be one free day during the week when you can either choose to relax and enjoy the beach or your guide can help organise a day trip or activity (not included).
During our stay we will have exclusive use of the Mascot Hotel where all rooms have private balcony and we have use of an outdoor terrace and the kitchen.
Price includes: 7 nights bed and breakfast in twin ensuite rooms, transport to walks, airport transfer at certain times. Single rooms available at £15 per night supplement – book early!
