A walking tour designed to explore the Algarve’s open countryside and coast with pretty villages, historic monuments and natural reserve areas. The Algarve is famous for its fine beaches and beautiful coastline and it is also truly wonderful walking country. We will be based in Tavira, the “Venice of the Algarve”, from where we will explore the surrounding villages, located on fertile limestone and characterized by an abundance of olive, carob, fig and almond trees. Peaceful inland scenery of lemon, orange and almond trees, olive groves and sleepy villages… We will explore the coast around Rio Formosa Natural Park and the trip willinclude a baot tour of the reserve. Each walk is full of colour, wildlife and history. You’ll see a Portugal you’ve never imagined existed and that you’ll never forget!
There will also be a free day to relax, do some sightseeing or perhaps take a tour to try to spot flamingos (not included)
