25-29 May 2012 (Fri-Tue) Here is a fabulous holiday in Ireland with Beryl, giving an opportunity to experience the unique environment of the Burren, a karst landscape with an impressive array of flora and archaeological remains. The flowers will be at their best…

The Burren, from the Gaelic word Boireann is an area of limestone rock covering imposing majestic mountains, and tranquil valleys with gently meandering streams. With its innate sense of spiritual peace, extraordinary array of flora and wildlife, and megalithic tombs and monuments older than Egypt’s pyramids, the Burren creates a tapestry of colour and a seductively magical aura which few people leave without wanting to experience again.
The grikes, or cracks in the limestone pavements support Arctic, Mediterranean and Alpine species. Some walking will be over the limestone pavement, and at other times
we will be following tracks, ‘green lanes’ or roads. We’ll be based in the lovely village of Ballyvaughan at the Meadowfield Guest House. The simple rooms are all ensuite and our hostess, Breada Moran will make you very welcome. Most evening meals will be taken at the Guesthouse, though we may opt to visit a local restaurant one evening.
Price includes: 4 nights full board in ensuite twin rooms at the Meadowfield Guesthouse in Ballyvaughan, a beautiful seaside village with a great variety of restaurants and pubs, cafes and craft shops.
