06-11 June 2012 (Wed-Mon) This year there’ll be two opportunities to enjoy the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline, which is blessed with a mild climate due to the proximity of the gulf stream. In spring and early summer its clifftops are ablaze with wild flowers, while colonies of sea birds nest along its cliffs, and seals, porpoises and dolphins can sometimes be spotted swimming off shore. The area is perfect for gentle natural history walks from the tiny cathedral city of St Davids – across the fields and down winding lanes towards the sea, or taking the coastal shuttle bus to reach other lovely walks a short distance away. From St Justinians we can reach the RSPB reserve on Ramsey Island by ferry, and on other days we may finish at a white sandy beach, or take our lunch enjoying a spectacular view from the cliffs.
This 5 night holiday with Madeline is based this year at the City Inn, St Davids, with many single rooms available. The holiday is priced on a part board basis with breakfast and packed lunches included. In the evenings we will eat at the inn, or go out together to sample other restaurants in town (not included – from £15). St Davids can be reached by car, or by regular bus from Haverfordwest station.
Price £485, includes: 5 nights part board in ensuite twin rooms at the City Inn (Single rooms available – supplements apply), all transport to walks.
