Lizzie Freeman

I’m eco-, environmental and community psychologist and have a PhD in psychology from Leeds University. I am currently a visiting lecturer at Sheffield Hallam and York St John University and helped set up Edible York.  I enjoy art and am an outdoor enthusiast who loves nothing more than mountaineering and guiding in the Scottish Highlands and it’s ‘wild places’.  I like most outdoor activities but particularly enjoy cross-country skiing and anything really which involves journeying. The best thing about guiding and being outdoors is meeting new people and learning new things about places, others and yourself. It’s also a great space to get away from the hustle and bustle of ‘progress’ and, most importantly, be still. In a nut shell, I live for adventure and exploration and try to live a full, healthy and mindful life.
