High Trenhouse has a beautiful upland setting near to Malham Tarn. Just to step outside the door is to be in the hills. The air is clean and pure, there is no sound of traffic and no light pollution.
The centre consists of two large adjacent old farm buildings which have been lovingly restored by the owners, John and Bernadette. The buildings are set in landscaped grounds looking out towards the tarn, and from the bedrooms there are views of the garden, the tarn, or the surrounding Dales.
Bennets – one of the centres buildings.
All the bedrooms are very attractively decorated. Most of them have ensuite facilities, and many are ensuite singles – always a popular feature! In addition the centre has a sauna for our use – so bring your swimsuit. There is a bar (on an ‘honesty’ system), a dining room serving excellent meals, a lounge and other spaces for relaxing – including a small terrace outside in the garden. For this holiday we will have sole use of the centre, its bedrooms and all its facilities – perfect for the needs of a double group with two walks on offer each day. You can arrive from 2pm. Dinner is at 7pm. (No extra nights are possible here as the centre only caters for group stays).
